My 2010 Dodge journey was running just fine and about an hour later it wouldn't start back up. Car wouldn't crank, no dashboard lights, nothing. We just replaced the starter and only the check engine came on.
Also the battery was replaced 9 months ago.

From the description it sounds like a battery issue. Because of the lovely location of the battery we can test at the power terminals under the hood. The negative terminal is a common item to cause problems because of how it mounts. That is the one that bolts to the strut tower on the left side. I would start with it, remove it and clean the stud and bolt it back in place and see if power has returned. Next would be the terminal where the positive cable attaches to the TIPM. Those are common areas. You can also use a test light to check there for battery power.
