Dodge Intrepid dies when i go through a puddle

my 1999 dodge intrepid sputters and dies when the right front tire goes through water. it has an automatic 2.7L motor. The car has 112000 miles. i think that the problem might be electrical but i dont know. any advice would be apreciated. thank you

Loose connections check the battery 1st-then check the ignition components
