I have a 2001 Dodge intrepid. 2.7 engine with 120,000 miles. The engine light comes on on says misfire. We replaced the spark plugs and wires. It went off but the car started chugging and the light would come back onsaying the same thing. We would bring it back home... let it sit and the next day its fine. It's fine going somewhere but coming back it starts chugging really bad. We took it in and they said that it was internal and would have to go to an engine repair shop. Any ideas whats causing the chugging??
