About 2 weeks ago the automatic temperature control fan started running continuously. We changed the unit inside the car but it makes no difference. I can't turn it down or off. As long as the car is on, it is on, except when you pull the fuse. Th car is a 98 dodge intrepid 130,000 miles and 3.3 engine.

You can try this, my 96 Intrepid did the same thing the high fan would run constintly
Finally found the problem, it was the high pressure switch SPY, my friend was looking at my air conditioning, the compressor was turning on for about 5 minutes and then shutting off, which of course wasn't blowing cold air, so he put it on his scanner and it came up with the code for the pressure switch, which is located at the bottom left of the radiator ( cost him $ 81.00 it listed for $101.00 and he had to order it thru Chrysler ) but if fixed both of my problems, I now have cold air and the fans ares working properly now. WEW, I was beginning to think there was no cure. He had to cut and splice the 3 wire leading to the switch because of the conection on the new part did not mate the old plug. Let me know how you make out if you change yours. By the way is your air conditioner working right?
