While driving along at about 55 mph my transmission disengaged. I made it to the side waited a few minutes and it re engaged and I made it home. Check engine light on. 1. what could be the problem. 2. How to fix. 3. what is code 888? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have no info on code 888 the codes always go P0***
