Engine Performance problem
2004 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Automatic 74000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When i first start the car in the morning, let it run for at least 2 minutes sometimes it will want to stall out, going only 500 feet. i push on the gas to not have it stall out. then it loses speed, not wanting to go. the engine light flashes several times. this goes on for about a minute or two then its fine for the rest of the trip. I have taken it to 2 different places, no codes were found. they changed the spark plugs, wiring is good. the problem still occurs. it doesn't happen every day, about every other. and it happen when the car sits too, for about 6 hours for example, the same problem occurs. could this be due to a bad fuel filter and pump? its really expensive to replace and i just wanted to make sure this was the cause of the problem.

I would have it over night at the repair shop
let the hook their equipment to it,
so they can do the test in the morning
and then a simple fuel pressure test will tell if the fuel pump is good or bad
or if its a bad relay
good luck
