2004 Dodge Intrepid

P0700 -- The TCM has lost data connection from the transmission. Check all the fuses and wire harness to the TCM from the transmission. If everything look fine, then the TCM may have gone bad. One way to find out the TCM is bad is to go to a good transmission shop that can test drive the car while it's hooked up to a scanner which would indicate if it's the TCM or the wire harness or transmission it self.

Note: One of the biggest flaw the intrepid has is the wire harness to the shift solenoid is in the transmission, surrounded in the transmission oil which corrode the wire harness.
