Yesterday my car broke down and right before it broke down I noticed the oil light and the engine light came on. Right after that the car started pulling and slowing down as though it was going to cut off. Then I heard this noise that sounded like a grinding of a screw in a garbage disposal. When I got to the end of the ramp it did cut off and it would not crank back up. When I turn the ignition it clicks like the starter is gone and all the light do come on, but it will not run over. I checked the oil and the oil was low but there is about 3/4 th of an inch of oil on the dip stick. I had someone to tell me that I have oil in the car. But it still will not crank. The only way I can even go an get it fixed is to have it towed to a mechanic. Please help me
