There is a small hole located just below the thermostat housing that is leaking water. Is this a sign that the water pump is bad?

Is the hole on the pump? Is it a hole that was designed in or is something cracked or broken? If it is on the pump and appears that it should be there, chances are the seal / bearing in the water pump is going bad. THat is a seap hole that is used to identify when the seal is leaking.
