the check engine light comes on for a vacume leak frequently, but then goes away within two or three days. i have already replaced the gas cap and the only other thing it could be is the vacume hose. i was wondering what a good cheap fix for that could be, and should i do it myself or have a professional do it? im on a tight budget and need it repaired asap.

How about lets start with the code #
next time check engine light is on scan it for codes
and post them
as it will help to pin point the troubled area
