2002 Dodge Intrepid Oil Light

Low oil warning light comes on after driving approximately 20 miles and applying brake. It will stay on until start car back up in drive mode. Is not low on oil. This has only happened twice with approx. One week between occurrences and only when sitting in idle after having been driven.

I hope you just have a weak or bad oil pressure sending unit. You can try replacing it or use a gauge to test the oil pressure. It may be too low and the light and sending unit is good.
