2002 Dodge Intrepid 68600 miles

myturn signals seem to work for a while then stop working, i thought that when i turn off the car they would start working again...well it was like that for a while but that wasnt the case. They work when they want then go back to not working, my other lights and high beams work even my brake lights work. So can u tell me whats wrong?
