2002 Dodge Intrepid Does a 3.5 V6 interchange with a 2.7?

2002 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7L V6 engine and it has a rod knock. I want to put a 3.5 in it, will that work? or what has to be changed for it to work?

Anything can be forced to work. However, the money and time to do it doesn't justify it. Everything needs changed, computer, vacuum harness, wiring harness, motor mounts, and I'm not sure it will bolt to your trans.

We recommend staying with a direct fit replacement.
