2002 intrepid starts hard (10-15 seconds) when "cold" (summer or winter but worse in summer). Once its started and you go to a store and come out its fine. If you go out for lunch at work after its sat for 4 hours it is hard starting again as well as the end of the day.

I've checked the fuel pressure a couple times and its well within the Haynes book spec's. Very little pressure bleed off as well even after a few hours.

Can't think of what it could be. No codes with key but do get an occasional high side O2 sensor code but it is very intermittent.

Thanks for the help.

Check the ECT(engine coolant temp) sensor, they can be a bit out of range, and not set a code. Also check the fuel pressure regulator, and the injectors. The idle air control valve can also cause your symptom.

Thanks for the reply. Where would you suggest starting to look for the problem?

Any way to test any of the items you mentioned?

Thanks.

I will send it to you via email, the other question I have is, can you get the exact O2 sensor code for me?
Fuel Pressure Regulator Fuel pressure regulator is a nonadjustable in-tank pressure regulator mounted on fuel pump module in top of fuel tank. Individual component testing is not available from manufacturer. To test pressure regulator, check fuel pressure. See FUEL DELIVERY .
