2001 Dodge Intrepid evap leak

my check engine light came on and it had the code checked. said there is a large evap leak. what are some possible solutions to fixing this. how do i know where to start

there are many parts involved to keep the evaporative emissions monitered and working. Each part has a different purpose. It must be either checked for a bad hose or for an electrical failure. I don't think the air conditioner evaporator would cause the check engine lamp to come on, but maybe. You need to get a better more specific scan and have it written down. Even knowing the scans are useless if the scanner cannot be used for repairing. IF it is in your emission control system that would be alot cheaper. ok
