My car won't start, everything comes on inside but it won't crank over. I thought it might be the wires connected to that chip where I have to put in that small key in order to start it. I messed with it for awhile it started then tried a second time now it won't start, do you think it could be a short in the wires?

Hi
I'm not aware of a small key needed in addition to the ignition key. Does the van have an aftermarket alarm? If not, have a helper turn the key to the start position and check if there is 12 volts going to the smaller of the two wires on the starter.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
