My 2001 Intrepid recently started to shut off the AC ,PW, PL at will. After bringing it to my mechanic the codes revealed BCM problems. I just replaced the module and still have the problems. I have been told that the ignition switch if worn can cause similiar problems. The car was stolen in 2005 and the column was slide hammered during the theft. It was repaired. Have you ever hear of this. Perhaps too many keys on the key ring.

If you did not have it stolen I would have said no. But it is possible that there is a problem in the column, it depends on the codes you had. If the BCM is loosing signals from the wiring it's just like a sensor, switch or internal problem. What codes did he get? That is the key to the repair. Bring it back, tell him, it is something else. A lot of fuses are under the hood. If one goes so does your interior fuse power at spots. Ok
