Transmission sensor

My car is stuck in second gear, this happened to me 4 years ago. What is the part I'm looking for before I call a garage to fix. The only code that pops up is p 1684 and this happens after i drove home turned it off the next day it would not shift

The code is for the battery begin disconnected which means nothing for this problem. The problem you are having has to do with the input or output shaft speed sensor.

Here are the locations so you know what you are in for when doing the job. I would run the codes as well.

Thank you so much you where right this fixed the problem it was the input shaft sensor in case you where wondering. Thanks for the help I love you guys.
