My car is stuck in second gear, this happened to me 4 years ago. What is the part I'm looking for before I call a garage to fix. The only code that pops up is p 1684 and this happens after I drove home turned it off the next day it would not shift

The code is for the battery begin disconnected which means nothing for this problem. The problem you are having has to do with the input or output shaft speed sensor.

Here are the locations so you know what you are in for when doing the job. I would run the codes as well.

Should run about $160.00 to fix.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken
