2000 Dodge Intrepid ROUGH! Idle

Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Dodge Intrepid Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Starts fine Rough idle in gear and acceleration ,It Shakes off the line! Bad fuel? Injectors? Bad Distributor? Please, She thinks I did some thing to her car!!! HELP!!! Thanks! Thanks for the tip, GOT IT FIXED!! I remembered my neighbor had the same problem with his dodge Pick up truck with a V-8, He replaced the plug wires and Problem Solved, So I did the same on the 2.4 / 4cyl. New Plug wires and She Smoothed rite out!! $32 and 2 minutes later,... FIXED!! Thanks for your help! Steve

When was the last tune-up? Is the Check Engine light on?

There is no distributor, but one dead section of the coil pack is a possibility. It will kill two cylinders. Chrysler has extremely little trouble with injectors.

Now you know how mechanics feel when they get blamed for everything that happens after they touch a customer's car.
