2000 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 174000 miles

my altenator went out in my dodge intrepid, i have replaced alot of theses on chevys but none on intrepids. it looks like it will fit out the top of engine compartment, but this is a intrepid and didnt know if anyone has done one. thanks

Look up from underneath. If you can unbolt the rear cover, you can repair it right on the engine. At high mileage, worn brushes are common. Remove the cover, and the brush assembly is right there on the back, held on with three screws.
