1999 Dodge Intrepid maybe A/C?

I purchased this car in January and 2 days after I paid for it, it started skipping and going dead. So I had 2 sensors replaced. Well about 2 days ago it started this awful clicking noise thats noticable when the car changes gears and when sitting idle. Also, its struggling to crank. I had the hood raised and was listening to it and turned te A/c on. When I did the car went dead. Any ideas before I spend my money. Im a female so I feel like I get ripped off sometimes.

. So I think we got whats going on, my dad thought it was valve but a mechanic took a listen and a look at it last night and decided its a lifter and the oil pump. Im not sure the cost on those repairs but I know theyre better than replacing valves!
