I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with the 3.2 engine an it knocks, could you give me a little help an let me know what this could be or what I could do to help it?

i hade the same prob. 3 mothes after i bought it my car made a funny sound in the front of the car. about 1 mothe later my moter blow up do to bad oil sluge. the timing chain. ur is a belt \. my tenser that held my chain tight had devolded oil fauiler . when that happed the chain slipped and bent my rod. cost me 2,000 to fix after that if been running castrol gtx (sluge protection and thermal break down) the two main cause for them moters
