1999 Dodge Intrepid is it a thermostat

My car overheats in hot weather, but in cold weather it doesn't overheat. My heat don't work it just blows out cold air. What's wrong with my car?

Does the car overheat when it is sitting in traffic or at highway speed too?

If it is at any speed, chances are you are correct with the thermostat. Especially if the heater doesn't heat.

Let me know about the speed issue.
