1999 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a dodge intrepid a 1999 I love this car but I cannot see at night with the head lights.I had new bulbs put in Artic white pro halogen 55/80 w I still cannot see at night on low beams had the lights adjusted as high as they will go still not helping. Also had the lens treated so they are clear once again but this is not helping. My car does not have fog lights on it. Would putting some on help illuminate the road in front of the car?It sets down so low to the ground in the front that the lights do not shine out in front of the car. What can I do to help this situation? If I put them on high beams I can see fine. Would it be called a running light or fog lights I would need. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated Thanks Rachel

Hi:
When you have the low beams on, where does the beam point too high or too low? I never heard of this problem. If they are properly adjusted, they should be fine.

As far as the other, they are fog lights. Yes they would help.

Thank you for responding back. The low beams are directly down on the road not out in front of the car. You can't even tell u have them on they do not shine out to illuminate the road.I have adjusted them as high as the screw will go and they still are not high enough. When you look at them through the glass they seem to be pointing down toward the bottom of the inside of the lense.I have recently looked at other Intrepids and they look the same as mine pointing way down toward the bottom of the lense. Confused.I know it sounds crazy but others have seen them and tried driving the car they also say you can't see with these headlights. On low beam. Again thanks so much Rachel

Rachel, are the bulbs properly installed? Are they tight in the light assembly? Has a mechanic ever checked to see if they is a way to readjust them. You and I know it isn't right, so there has to be an adjustment being missed, the bulbs are loose. Is there any way for you to take a picture of them and upload it for me to see? Was the car ever in an accident?

Joe
