1999 Dodge Intrepid Brake lights stuck on

Brake lights are not turning off and I tryed pumping the petal to see if the switch was stuck, what else can I do?

pumping the brake pedal will not cause the switch to free up if it is stuck...if stuck then it will be pushed in and stuck in that position, if it were stuck out then that is how it should be anyway and lights would be off. Most likely switch is faulty .
