1997 Dodge Intrepid testing water pump?

First let me say that my water pump is leaking but I need to know if there is a way to see if it is just the seal or the pump itself? I can do the work and I know how but I need to know how to find out if it is a bad pump or just a seal that needs replacing.

Welll you will need to presurize the system with a pressure tester and see where the leak is actually coming from to determine if it is just the seal or not.
