1997 Dodge Intrepid Gauges sometimes don't work

Occaionally, on my 1997 Intrepid, all the gauges quit working. When I honk the horn, they start working again. What could do this?

I'm not sure how the horn is related. However, have you checked to see if there are any loose connections under the dash?
