1996 Dodge Intrepid V-belt for A/C

I have a 1996 dodge intrepid 3.3L, I was driving today and my V-belt that is connected to my A/C compressor snapped. Since I never use the A/C, is it safe to continue driving with it off? As of now, I haven't noticed any difference while driving it.

If it only runs the AC, the only thing that will be affected is the defroster. The AC helps dehumidify the air to the windshield.
