1996 Dodge Intrepid Stalls when i put into drive or reverse

I cant figure out I drove this car since tuesday when i got it! now when i come to a low speed or stop or start it up, the check engine light is on, and it will stall out and idles fine, but when you push the gas it kills the motor, the light detects code 34...speed control vacuum or vent solenoid, can you explain to me what this all means and what i have to do?

Code 34 can mean any of the 3 conditions as listed. The diagnostic procedure have been sent to you via email as they are too long to be posted here. Let me know if they are helpful.

1. Speed Control Solenoid.
2. Speed control Switch always high.
3. Speed control Switch always low.
