What is the most common answer for overheating 3.5 liter 1996 intrepid it has new radiator new water pump new thermostat I bleed the bleeder valve on thermostat housing and stil overheats when running seems like it overheats when idling at one rpm it seems to cool it to normal what is the engine to idle at? And I have not drove car since buying it so I dont know if it is going to overheat going down highway or not but it does overheat sitting in driveway idling

Hi:
If it only overheats sitting, chances are the radiator fans are not working. When you are driving, cool outside air passes through the radiator. When you stop, so does the air. After the engine hits a certain temp, the fans should come on and draw air through the radiator to cool the engine. Let me know if you checked that. Also, let me know if this problem has ever happened while at highway speed.
