car has a bad battery connection but is not much trouble you just have to figit with the terminals to get the gages to register on occasion. Last year we replaced the tensioner pulley on the timing belt and have had no problems. We maintain regular maintence including transmision fluid oil nd tires. 2 days ago it started making a terrible humming noise when you accelerated and the trans wont shift any higher than 2nd gear! however it isnt constant! one minute its acting up and the next its fine! while driving!

I would take it to AAMCO they will do dianostic and you may need a shift solenoid or relay. But do not cotinue to drive it may result in a costly repair.
