I was going down the interstate when all of a sudden my speedometer quit working. The needle did not settle at 0 mph, it actually went around to the other side. When i start the car, the needles moves a little distance then drops back down. The transmission seems to be working just fine, and I checked all the fuses. What could possibly be the problem? I'm thinking it's the speedometer cluster. Is this an easy fix or what else could be the problem? Thanks in advance!

Wither the vehicle speed sensor or the cluster is bad. I recommend having the VSS checked first.
