1994 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl 140,00 miles

My vehicle was recently hit in a parking lot by an unknown vehicle and some damage was done to the front passenger side of the car. The hood, fender, and headlight all need to be replaced as well as the paint on the bumper touched up. There is no internal damage to the engine whatsoever. I went to a local junkyard and pulled all of the needed parts myself then took it to a local body shop where i was quoted 1200 to have them put on the car and the paint blended. If i go ahead and replace all of the parts myself then take it to the body shop to simply have the paint blended will this a)be a problem and b)lower the overall costs of the repair?

You need to ask the shop if they will do it if you replace the parts. Some will and others won't. It's like taking your own spaghetti to a restaurant and asking them to cook it. They may just laugh and say no.

As far as cost, most of the time spent will be replacing the parts, so it should lower the cost for you.

Let me know if you have other questions.
