1993 Dodge Intrepid slipping transmission

1993 Dodge Intrepid Front Wheel Drive Automatic 187398 miles

Why does the transmission jerk into first gear? Why does transmission jerk when coming to a stop. It idels then bog down. Please help!!!!

Hi there,

There can be a number of things that can cause this, i would first have the transmission serviced & inspected by a trans specialist, they can run a few diatonic tests on the transmission electrical system and advise on what is the best fix, start here.
