Often the dash gauges do not work and the transmission will not leave first gear. When the gauges are working the transmission works okay. Any idea what or why? Lso, the car has been sitting idle for seven months. I started it (JUMP) and it idled for 15 minutes. After shutoff it would not restart . If and when I get a new battery, do I ned to do anything to the car because it sat so long?
