1992 Dodge Dynasty dash lights and running lights

my headlights and brakelights work, but the dash and running lights don't. I checked all the fuses and they look good.

There's two fuse boxes; one in the glove box, and one under the hood. Did you check in both places?

The most likely cause is a defective headlight switch. Also check for overheated / burned wires or terminals in the plastic connector. Burned terminals can be cut out of the connector body, then the overheated part of the wire is cut off, a new piece spliced in, and a crimp-type terminal is installed and plugged into the new switch. The splice AND the solderless terminal should both be soldered for reliability.

If the terminals and wires in the connector appear ok, you will need to use a test light or voltmeter to verify the switch is the problem before buying a new one. Throwing parts at it as a way to figure out which part is defective is an expensive way to troubleshoot.
