I was told three weeks ago that I would need to replace my tie rods on a 2000 Durango about 87,000 miles. The machanic told me that it was not something I needed right away. I have noticed slight play in the steering when I hit a bump. How do I know when this must be fixed? What would the price be for labor and parts?

i think there is a recall on that problem. call another dealership and ask. if the balljoints are bad get it done asap. if one falls away then you can't steer and thats makes a very bad day......vandragon
