Dodge Durango Rear Main

I have a 1998 Dodge Durango-145,000 miles. I was told when I got an oil change that I had a leak in the
transmission & a leak in the rear main. My question is
what is the rear main & could it be related to my transmission leak problem?

yes, your main differential is located behind your trans.it's the one that holds your gear lubracant.it keeps your vehicle driving smooth if its leaking get it fixed fast.or you will pay dearly for a new one.
