I've noticed that while in park my 2004 Dodge Durango 4.7 liter begins to noticeably rock from side to side when revving to approximately 4000 RPM. (Like throw your head side to side rocking ) The dealership says there's a "rev limiter" that cuts fuel and thus causes the rock. I thought I had a cylinder missing but do not have any dash lights or engine codes that indicate such. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 liter that doesn't do it. Is the dealer giving me the correct info?

Yes it has one but it shouldn't shut it down at that low of an RPM. WHat is red-line?

Red Line. Like I said at 4000 rpm it starts to rock and the tach modulates between 4000 and say 4500. Can't get it any higher than that.

If that is redline, they are correct. It has a rev limiter that will shut it so it can't blow itself up. And yes it will rock.

So am I correct in assuming that this is specific to the Durango? My Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi (while in PARK) revs smoothly with no rock past 5000 rpm. That's why I thought something was wrong with the Durango.
