Ignition has to be turned at least twice to start cold. Takes 20 min + to bleed off. How do you troubleshoot fuel pump assembly vs leaky injectors?

This does sound like a fuel pump issue. Normally leaking injectors will not bleed off very quickly. However, this is all subjective and depends on how much pressure is there and how much it bleeds off in what amount of time.

What we need to do is start with checking the pressure with the key on. Then we need to know how much it bleeds off in the first few minutes.

It should not drop more than a couple PSI in the first few minutes if any at all.

You should be around 60 PSI so a fuel pump normally will not be able to achieve this pressure and that is what is causing the no start.

However, if when you turn the key on, and it goes to 60 PSI and then starts to bleed down, and the engine does not start then you more than likely do have leaking injectors.

It is rare that a single injector will cause a no start because the pressure will be enough to start the engine even if that plug is fouled from the fuel.

So, I would turn the key on and remove the plugs to see which are wet. Clearly none should be if you did not crank the engine.

Please run through this info and let us know what you find. Thanks
