2003 Dodge Durango V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The AC on my 2003 Dodge Durango is not working. One day it was working just fine and the next I am not getting anything. Sometimes in the morning the defrost will kick in, again that is only sometimes. What can I do and will it cost much? I live in California
