Whenever i switch to four wheel high and drive strait, it drives good. As soon as i turn right or left, This bad grinding noise comes. It kind of makes the noise like when your anti-lock brakes kick in. But alot worse

I've been driving it on dry roads. One of my mechanics said it is a bad transfer case. What do you think of that ?

It could be. You shouldn't be using 4wd on dry pavement. Have you taken a look at the fluid in the transfer case? Is it dirty? Have you tried servicing it?

NOTE: ON DRY SURFACES, USE 2WD.
