AC drain hose?

I looked everywhere for a picture, but can't find one. It should be on the passenger side about 2/3 of the way down on the fire wall. It will be a black rubber tube pointing at the road.

There's a rubber hose on the passenger side of the firewall in the engine compartment. It's about four inches long and formed into a right angle. Squeeze the hose to dislodge the stuck debris. If that doesn't work, squeeze the wire ring and remove the hose, then carefully stick a pencil in the spout to loosen the debris.

It's usually gray, about an inch in diameter, and is always on the right, (passenger) side of the firewall right behind the engine. It comes forward from the firewall about two inches, then turns down for another two or three inches. The end hanging down isn't attached to anything.

The end of this round hose is formed into a flat slot to reduce entry of rain and bugs. Squeezing it will open it up hopefully allowing any trapped debris to fall out. The debris can build up further inside too. That's when you will need to remove the hose and poke around in the drain tube.

THis could be one of two things, the AC or a heater core. Does it have a sweet smell to it or does it smell like stagnet water? Also, Look under the hood on the passanger side of the firewall. You will see a black tube coming from the firewall and pointing down to nothing. That is the AC drain. Move it around to see if water comes out. Many times, they get plugged with dirt there at the end and back up into the vehicle.
