When I buy this vehicle I change the spark plugs. 3 days ago a check engine code came up. I found spark plug #7 totally smoked and I put a new one. The truck is running witoth a problem but the check ligth came up again. I went spark plug after spark plug and all 8 are smoked and a silly smell came from the vehicle. The truck is running fine thats why im confused. Any help?

Smoked? This means what? Melted electrodes? Black in color? What is the condition? Dodge recommends replacing with Champion of the same numbers. No fancy stuff like platinums, or the like. Gap is important too, that info is on the V.E.C.I. Label, (white) under the hood.

Not melted only covered in a film of black deposits. I replace the sparks with the original ones. Nothing fancy.

Gap is important, you are running a bit rich for the black sooty appearance, check fuel pressure and injectors, also the MAF may be dirty, this controls injector pulse width(opening duration).
