My Durango runs poor when its cold. I had it in the shop & paid 450 for a tune up (plugs wires cap rotor & injector flush)
The mech mentioned a bad coolant sensor that was not replaced. My gauge works fine?

My thought are the truck has two sensors (1 for the gauge, 2nd talks to the ECU adj the timing?)

Where is this sensor?
Does my thero make sence?

THere are two sensors. The mechanic may be right. One is for the temp gauge in the car and the other tells the computer what the outside temp is so it knows how rich or lean to make the fuel mixture. Basically, it takes the place of a choke from the old days.
