2001 Dodge Durango Engine

2001 Dodge Durango Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I was wondering if an enginge for a 99 dodge durango would work for a 2001 dodge durango. My engine went out in my 01 and I call a "junk Yard" to see if they had a used one and they told me that the engine of a 99 would work for an 01. If you could please let me know if this is possible that would be great! Thanks
