Why does white, stinky smoke come out of the vents even if the a/c is not running? I have replaced the compressor and cleaned the unit.

I have the same problem. I've been looking online for several hours and the common consensus is a bad heater core. At first I thought it would be an easy job, but the a/c has to be evacuated and other stuff too. Its a 5-7 hour job. Its best done by a mechanic.
