I have this Dodge Durango and I have the engine light on with the codes reading P 0132, P 0171, and P 0551. I had the oxygen sensor replace twice already and no more black smoke out the exhuast. I now cannot move past 30 mph since it seems like the tranny is going out, whereas it is always serviced. I have problems with accelarating past 30 with the rpms going up and down on me. I push the pedal and I get a little help in this fast paced world. Can you help before I take it back to the local garage?

It sounds like the transmission is slipping. Have you checked to make sure the fluid is full?

I found out it was the fuel pump that was going out! When I got below 1/8 tank the fuel pump would act like it was starving for expensive gasoline. Problem sovled. Now I can rejoin the busy life style of the busy and more busy!

I'm glad you got it fixed. Based on your description, I thought the trans was slipping. A fuel pump is expensive, but nothing like a transmission.

Let us know if you have questions in the future, and thanks for using 2carpros. Com.
