last night I noticed that the secondary fan in my car is coming on even though my car has not been driven for hours and the engine is not hot. I just had my engine completely overhauled and replaced most other parts, hoses, etc. under the hood. Can you tell me why that fan keeps coming on and approx. what the cost for repair might be?

sounds to me like you could have a faluty coolant temperature switch or a sticking relay for the fan.
